CALL TO SISTERHOOD
PreacherWoman understands that we are all unique. We issue a call to women in Christian ministry to come together to form a Sisterhood. This Sisterhood we call you to recognize our individuality, our connectedness, and a shared, common interest. PreacherWoman’s vision of Sisterhood is a vision supported by three principles to address the social and religious ills plaguing women in our society and plaguing women who have been called to leading in Christian ministry. The three principles are to: unify, undergird, and uplift Christian women called to the preaching ministry.
PreacherWoman calls you to a Sisterhood that depends on the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Through the Holy Spirit, we will become inter-woven with threads of trust, respect, interdependency, forgiveness, and laughter. Through the Holy Spirit, we will share one another's burdens, trials & tribulations, worries, joys, and laughter. Through the Holy Spirit, we will move beyond disagreements, clicks, and unforgiveness. Through the Holy Spirit, we will move toward UNITY, PEACE & LOVE. Through the Holy Spirit we will come together to be INSPIRED, ENCOURAGED, NURTURED, SUPPORTED, STRENGTHENED AND LOVED. This is how Jesus is glorified. The Holy Spirit comes to declare to us the will of the Father in our sisterly relationships. The Spirit will teach us, show us, and guide us in the things of Christ.
PreacherWoman believes the Bible is: given by inspiration of God (II Tim 3:16), is profitable both for doctrine and practice (II Tim. 3:16-17), and is inerrant (completely trustworthy, reliable, and without error (Matt. 5:17-18).
PreacherWoman believes Sisterly Love is one of our anchoring principle as “Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (I Cor. 13:1).
Summarily, PreacherWoman believes our sisterhood will unify, undergird, and uplift Christian women called to the preaching ministry if we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, live the truth of the Bible, and love with a biblical love. We believe there is a special bond between sisters who share something deeper, something beyond our individuality.
